BEAD PATTERN WORKBENCH

Turn your photo into a bead pattern you can follow

Free conversion fits cartoons, illustrations, logos, and pixel art. Preview the pattern in your browser and download it for free. For a person or pet photo, “person or pet photo to bead pattern” keeps likeness and pose, then reviews and corrects the result. Adjust the grid, colors, and outlines, check color codes and bead counts, then export an A4 tiled PDF using your measured peg spacing.

See the actual bead cells

From small starter patterns to detailed public creations

Compare grid sizes, color counts and bead totals to choose a project that fits your time and pegboard. Open the actual charts and download without signing in.

These previews show the actual final bead cells. Starter patterns are our own designs; public creations are approved submissions. Individual examples do not represent the result for every photo.

From pattern to physical beads

A generated pattern you can keep adjusting

Choose a grid and palette that suit your project, check your supplies, then prepare the printout. Everything you need to make the pattern and place your beads is in one workbench.

Adjust for free after generation

Keep your AI reference to adjust the grid, color count, background and outlines for free, or edit individual cells. Adjustments and downloads use no extra credits; a new AI request is charged again.

Match your brand and check bead counts

Choose a MARD, Perler, Hama or Artkal palette, check counts for each color and download a supply list. Codes differ across brands. Perler uses reference IDs; check your physical beads before preparing supplies.

Print at the spacing of your pegboard

Enter your measured peg-center spacing to export an A4 tiled PDF. Print at 100% / actual size, check the 10 mm calibration ruler against your pegboard, then start placing beads.

How to turn an image into a perler bead pattern

  1. Upload a clear image

Use a JPG, PNG or WebP image up to 10 MB. A complete subject against a simple background makes the outline easier to preserve.

  2. Convert for free, or let AI redraw it

Convert in the browser for free, with no sign-in. That path fits cartoons, illustrations, logos, and pixel art. Start with the default 80-cell width or adjust for your board and palette. For a person or pet photo, use “person or pet photo to bead pattern”. It keeps likeness and pose, and is not a new photograph. Describe details that must stay.

  3. Adjust, check and export

Compare faces, outlines and key details with your photo, then adjust the grid and colors for free. Check codes and counts before downloading the chart, a tiled PDF with measured peg spacing or a CSV supply list.

Perler bead pattern maker FAQ

Which actions cost credits, and which are free?

Direct conversion runs in your browser with no sign-in and no credits; photos are preview quality. AI bead patterns and bead-style posters cost 9 credits per creation and require sign-in. Failed creations return those credits. With the AI reference retained, adjustments, cell edits and downloads use no extra credits. Requesting AI again is charged again; a cloud plan is not required.

Which bead palettes are supported?

MARD 221 / 291, the Perler 117-color reference, Hama and Artkal palettes are supported, with per-color counts and downloadable supply lists. Codes are not interchangeable across brands. Perler reference IDs are not retailer product numbers; check color names and physical beads before buying.

How do I align the printout with my pegboard?

Enter the measured peg-center spacing and board dimensions, then choose the A4 tiled PDF. Measure from the first to the last center of 11 consecutive pegs and divide by 10. Print at 100% / actual size with fit-to-page disabled. Check the PDF’s 10 mm ruler, then compare alignment with the board. SVG, PNG and single-page PDF downloads are also available.

How can I keep key details in portraits and pet photos?

AI prioritizes the subject, face shape and pose. After generation you can adjust the grid and color count or edit individual cells. Describe any essential numbers or accessories in Key details. Tiny text can still be hard to read; compare the result with your photo before preparing supplies.

Can I return to a saved project and adjust it?

Free accounts can save 1 editable cloud project; cloud plans provide 10 or 30 slots for 30 days. Original images and AI references have a 90-day retention period. Further adjustments require a retained reference and an editable project within your plan. When a plan expires, projects beyond its allowance become read-only; after the reference expires, only the final chart remains. Download a local backup as well.
